"I was to learn later in life that we tend to meet any new situation by reorganisation, and what a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency and demoralisation."

Gaius Petronius, AD66.

"Seek simplicity and distrust it"

Site information (viewing etc.)

No pages on this site are wider than 620 pixels so a screen resolution of 640 x 480 should always be adequate. A resolution of 800 x 600 should ensure NO horizontal scrolling. Colours? 256 or more.

Images on this site are kept as small as possible, so you can safely allow your browser to automatically download graphics without having to wait ages for them to arrive!

Security issues: there is no inter-active content on this site and no "cookies" or Active-X etc.. Java script is used but only for scrolling messages etc.

This site has been tested to work best with version 4.xx browsers (Netscape or Exploder!) (Netscape Navigator 3 should also work for the luddites amonst you, and Opera usually behaves OK too!). That said, to view this site to best advantage you should really be using a recent version of your browser. This site makes considerable use of tables (and the occasional frame!) so early, less capable, browsers may not produce ideal viewing results.

Thanks for visiting!
